Having owned fitness studios, for most of my life, a fun holiday our members loved to smile about is on January 17th because it's "Ditch New Year's Resolution Day"!
How do most people celebrate this holiday? Well, how this has become a holiday is because it's reported that it's the day when a lot of people abandon the New Year's resolutions they have made as it encourages them to give them up.
But how do we celebrate this holiday?
At my studios, we used to refer to this day cheekily as "Quitters' Day" and on my watch, we made sure to do the exact opposite of quitting. We would encourage members to recommit and ensure everyone was crystal clear and laser-focused to achieve their resolutions.
Because there are still 348 days left in this year.
And we are just getting started.
Now, admittedly, most of the members didn't recommit and achieve long-term and lasting results on their own.
